Work, work, work..Int'l Women's Day at Mai Thai

It has been a very hectic week for me and Tracey.  We’ve had so much deliverables which should be done in 2 weeks’ time -- 2 weeks!! >.<  We had meetings almost every day with different committee heads and tackled their areas of concern and how we could improve them.  I had to produce a partnership spreadsheet which MWM could use to track all their projects and partnership / sponsorship deals; a Training Manual which would serve as a guideline for the trainers; a Membership Master File which would contain the tandems / groupings, Group Tandem Average Total Score Chart and the Members’ Details, an Overall Planned Activities Calendar for 2012 to name a few.  We also need to produce a Team Charter template which would contain their roles and responsibilities and processes, and Tracey has to do a presentation on Project Management Theory and MS Project which is a 6-day training course and she has to present this within 2 hours max. GAHHH! >.<

Yesterday afternoon, Tracey and I went to Casablanca which is a 1 hour and a half drive from Rabat to attend the MWM Networking Committee’s bi-monthly meeting which was then followed by a networking event.  It was held at the Golden Tulip Farah Hotel.  MWM invited a life coach from Britain, and he gave a presentation about self-empowerment and motivation.  We were not able to understand most of the presentation at it was presented in French but Ilham was kind enough to translate some portions of it.  We also joined some of the activities such as telling the person beside you what you admire about her and you know what? It felt good. :-) It felt good hearing how other people appreciate you and it also felt good seeing the other person smile because you appreciate her.  We build others up by finding what is good in them and complimenting them.  I know most of us are not that vocal about our feelings to each other but that night, I realized that being vocal of our feelings is beneficial.  You don’t know how your compliments could lift someone up that day!  That person might be having a hard time and hearing some kind words might help. So what are you waiting for? Lift someone up today! :-)

"Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Rejoice. Change your ways. Encourage each other.Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you"
2 Corinthians 13:11

"Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up."
Proverbs 12:25

Thursday night, our client Ilham invited us for an “after work” event at Mega Mall.  Since it was International Women’s Day, the mall had some activities for women.  For 350DH, you can get the following: a 10 minute Balinese massage, manicure, makeover, some tapas, drinks and dinner at Mai Thai.  The dinner consisted of a 3-course meal and it was delicious.  I’ve been having a lot of Moroccan dishes lately and being able to eat Thai food was a welcome change! Haha! Definitely a great way to end the night.
